 We support and fund raise for the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE, every year.  

Don't confuse the word "Relay" with a Race.  It is not anything of the kind.  We form teams of fund raisers whose lives have been affected by cancer.  These teams create fund raising opportunities to engage the public  the goals of the Relay For Life part of the American Cancer Society.  These are:

PATIENT SERVICES SUPPORT OF THE INDIVIDUAL WHOSE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ANY FORM OF CANCER

SUPPORT OF THE CAREGIVER

EDUCATION

ADVOCACY

We had beautiful weather for our Relay Day!  The turnout was great, and approximately 40 survivors were honored at the Survivor's Luncheon.  We raised just over $50,000 to date.  The Luminaria Ceremony at 10PM was beautiful.  THe track was lined in honor and memory of those affected by cancer.  It is something to see, and such a special part of Relay, you really must experience it for yourself. Relay for Life is different from other fund raisers where people have to Run or Walk a certain distance in exchange for sponsorship dollars.  Our event has raised over $500,000 these past 5 years.  The fund raising begins in February and ends August 31 for each cycle.
